I'm sure that's one of the reasons behind the success of blogging, and of sites like StumbleUpon. Sure, I guess you can stumble upon books at the library you've never seen before, but how much easier it is to simply click on a link. I love the quote from Albert Einstein about how he was never the smartest or hardest working person he knew, just the most curious.
